The short version: we operate fpadjusters.com. When you send us an enquiry, we use your details only to reply to you, never to sell to you elsewhere. We use Google Analytics to see how people use the site, and Google AdSense to show ads that help keep our articles free to read. Both use cookies, and you can opt out of personalized ads at any time. The full detail, including how to do that, is below, and you're always welcome to just email us if anything here is unclear.

This page explains what information we collect when you visit our site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

When you get in touch. If you send us an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, organization (if you give it), the service you're asking about, how urgent your matter is, and whatever you write in your message. We use this to reply to you, nothing else.

When you just browse. Like most websites, we pick up some general information automatically when you visit, things like your approximate location from your IP address, your browser and device type, which pages you looked at, and how you found us. This comes through Google Analytics, covered below.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website leaves on your device to remember things about your visit. We use them, and let a couple of trusted partners (Google, mainly) use them too, for the analytics and advertising described here. You're free to block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; some parts of the site just might not work quite as smoothly without them.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to get a general sense of how people use the site, so we know what to improve. It works through cookies and reports on visitor activity in an aggregated, anonymous way, we don't see who you are individually. You can read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads through Google AdSense, which is what keeps our guides and articles free to publish. Google, as the ad provider, uses cookies to show ads that are more relevant to you based on sites you've visited before, ours included.

If you'd rather not see personalized ads, you can turn that off any time at Google Ads Settings, or through www.aboutads.info/choices. More detail on how Google's advertising cookies work is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Who Else Sees Your Information

Our contact form is delivered through FormSubmit, a third-party service that simply routes your message into our inbox. Beyond that, and the analytics and advertising partners mentioned above, we don't sell, rent, or hand your information to anyone else for their own marketing.

How We Use It

In short: to reply to your enquiry, to understand and improve how the site works, to keep the site secure, and, through AdSense, to support the advertising that helps us keep publishing. Anything you send us through the contact form is treated with the same confidentiality we apply to our actual casework, it goes no further than what's needed to get back to you.

Keeping It Safe

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up if relevant. We take reasonable care to protect anything submitted through the site, though as with any website, no method of sending information over the internet is ever 100% guaranteed.

Your Rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We handle personal data in line with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and general good-practice principles. Just reach out using the details below.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Where Your Data Might Go

A few of the services we rely on, Google Analytics and Google AdSense among them, may process data on servers outside Tanzania. Those providers maintain their own safeguards for handling data that crosses borders.

If This Page Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change or the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
